The Stranger

A long summer had just passed . He had got out of the train to face a whole new world .It was raining , The city seemed so quiet , he still couldn't  forget her face . He got out in a hurry.

The station was dark, only a lamp lit the streets. He hurried his steps , not to miss the last bus. The conductor was a dumb fellow, he was old , wore broken spectacles. He greeted him and opened the door. With all his luggage he went inside. He picked out of his pocket, a 50 cent note and gave it to the conductor.
"45 Church Road " he said.
The old man nodded.
And the engine roared.
The bus was in a bad shape, seats torn, glasses broken and the paint was gone. But he was too busy in his thoughts to know any of that.

"Stiphany" ,he called out.
"You can never catch me,Sam" ,Stiphany shouted.
"You will hurt yourself, you are still new to this",he cried.

"Wake up, wake up..."
He was shocked to see  that the bus was at halt and the conductor was yelling at him.
Sam stood up , stumbled , then picked himself up and started running towards the door.
He got out to see the beautiful villa standing in front of him.(As she had mentioned....)
He couldn't believe his eyes ,any of it, so stressed and yet relieved...
His legs shook, his eyes full of tears, his heart racing and how is he going to face it all , alone as she is no more there, not by his side.
His fears took over him.
He remembered her exact words, as she had uttered , every word , "You must do it,you have to..."
He pressed the bell, impatient, fearful, sad and a man appeared before him, tall, having a long moustache, the kind of person who has probably been in the military, he remembered what she used to say about him, "He is a decent man , you will like him". He fixed his gaze at Sam , probably wondering about how strange is that a young lad showed up in the middle of the night.
"What business do you have so late son" , he asked, bit surprised.
He mumbled some words, which he had been practicing throughout his journey.
