Lovers
It was yesterday when we used to hold hands together,
Promised each other to stay together,
It were those days when we sang together , in our numerous encounters,
That fate has made us for each other ,
Was it not our firm belief that love could change it all....
Gone are those days, and all that happiness,
Not that we were wrong,
Not that I stopped holding your hands,
It was fate that befell upon us,
I longed for thine happiness and you longed for mine,
And mutual did we call it,
The world saw us falling apart...
I never understood what happened,
Did my hold became loose,
Or was it that someone else had a firm hold,
And when everything ended,
It was like nothing ever happened,
We smiled , seeing each other,
And to all that togetherness,
That stabbed by heart,
We were lovers, indeed even if we were apart...
I cried , when you told ,
It is too late for us to gather what we have lost ,
Too late for growing that lost trust,
Still in nostalgia,
I forget it all,
How you broke me after so much love,
Still in all that repentance in my throbbing heart
You will be my lover, now and forever even if we are apart...
